environmental impact, optimizing resources, and building a responsible future.
Hot charging of billets — a first in Karnataka — significantly reduces the reheating energy required in our rolling mills, cutting fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Our WHRB plants recover waste heat from the DRI process and convert it into power.
Our plants operate with Zero Liquid Discharge systems, ensuring no industrial effluent is released into the surrounding environment. Water is recycled within our cooling and process systems.
We operate a 230 MW Solar and Wind energy JV — one of the largest PPAs in India — reducing our dependence on grid power and fossil fuels across our integrated plant at Bellary.
All sponge iron produced in-house feeds directly into our billet manufacturing. All billets are consumed in-house for our rolling products. This closed-loop model minimises raw material waste and reduces the need for external procurement.
